Nature abhors a vacuum

But my father does not. Which is why all my sweaters and socks are vacuum packed in my suitcases. He thinks, apparently, that my two suitcases do not have nearly the space required for all my clothing, so he vacuum packs them.

Plus, I think he just likes playing. He offered to pack my shoes that way too, which clearly wouldn't work.

In any case, all my sweaters and socks and long-sleeved shirts are packed, along with my boots, my power converter, and my coat. Still on the to pack list: skirts, jeans, the rest of my shoes, pjs, bras, underwear. I'm trying to spread my clothes out, so if I lose a bag, I'm not stuck with a suitcase full of pajamas and shoes with no underwear. Three shirts, three pairs of socks, along with jeans and other various easy to pack clothing items will be packed in my carry-on, in the terrible event that both of my bags go missing. Fingers crossed against that.

My muscles are sore today; they feel almost like they did when I was lifting this summer. I haven't in a while, and especially not now, as the gym on campus is crazy the first couple weeks. I'm packing my tennis shoes and some workout clothes in the hopes that I'll find a gym or I can use facilities on one of the campuses. I put in a lot of hard work over the summer, and I felt really good, felt like I looked better, and I don't want all of that to fall by the wayside.

Back to packing and laundry.
